Joys of Vodka
Joys of Vodka
So we're supposed to write the best wine pairing for meatloaf or ramen. Wine is not actually my drink of choice. I'm a vodka gal myself. Sometime in my twenties I was told it was less likely to give me a hangover. So there you go.
The great thing about vodka, is that you can add it to almost any beverage to make it alcoholic. One of my very favorite drinks is a cucumber lemonade at a local restaurant (Relish in Roswell, so delish). One night I had the idea to add vodka and WOW. So if you're having ramen for dinner, consider vodka. Wait! I'm not suggesting adding vodka to the ramen! (Although this might be a worthy experiment one night...perhaps the subject of another blog one day) Add vodka to your favorite beverage and make a night of it.
Some of my favorite non-traditional vodka drinks: Raspberry Ginger Ale & Vodka (also looks pretty with those pink bubbles) Cucumber Lemonade & Vodka (Add cucumber to lemonade in your blender, or go to Relish in Roswell!)
GIRL SCOUT COOKIE TIME!
GIRL SCOUT COOKIE TIME!
Mmmmm. Samoas. Best.cookie.ever.
Why oh why do the girl scouts only let me buy these once a year? If those Keebler elves had their wits about them, they'd be knocking off a copycat of these lovely biscuits. (For those of you who aren't British, in England, a cookie is called a biscuit.)
And didja know that you can buy Girl Scout Cookie flavored ice cream this time of year?! Heaven in a carton.
These days, while the news is hammering us with news of the recession and our friends and family members are being laid off, we need to take pleasure and joy where we can. Samoas. Seriously.
